Who we are

Vaktija Widgets is made and published by Amaze Security BV, a company based in the Netherlands. Questions? Email info@amaze-apps.com.

No accounts, no profiles

The app does not offer or require an account. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.

Data on your device

The full timetable is built into the app. Your chosen place, language, theme, widget style, widget settings and the "prayed" marks of the vakat bar are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us or anyone else and are deleted when you uninstall the app.

Checking for new times

When you open the app or tap "Sync times", the app downloads two small files from our own servers: the timetable from vaktijanamaz.com (older app versions: bosanskavaktija.com) and the list of our other apps from amaze-apps.com. The requests contain nothing about you. Like every web server, ours necessarily receives your IP address for the moment it takes to deliver the file; we do not keep access logs, do not use the address to identify you and do not combine it with anything else. Both files come from our own servers in the European Union; amaze-apps.com is delivered through Cloudflare, which handles that request, including your IP address, on our behalf as a processor.

Location

By default the app uses the place you choose from the list, for the prayer times and for the Qibla, and does not ask for your location. Only if you choose "Automatically via GPS" does the app ask for your location, to pick the nearest place and to show the Qibla from where you are. The location is used only on your phone and is never sent to us or anyone else; no map service is contacted. You can refuse or withdraw the permission at any time in your phone's settings; the rest of the app keeps working.

Notifications

Prayer time notifications and reminders are planned on your phone itself. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else to deliver them.

Vaktija Widgets Plus

Plus is an optional yearly subscription, bought through the App Store or Google Play. To know whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States) as our processor. RevenueCat receives a random identifier that the app creates (not your name, email or any other identifier), together with the purchase details the store provides, such as the product, the date and whether the subscription is active. We use this only to unlock Plus on your devices and to handle refunds and support. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never see your payment details. RevenueCat is bound by a data processing agreement with standard contractual clauses for transfers outside the EU. If you never buy Plus, the app only asks RevenueCat whether there is a purchase, with that random identifier.

Compass

The compass reads your phone's motion and direction sensors while the Qibla screen is open. These readings stay on the device.

Feedback you choose to send

If you use "Send feedback", we receive only the message you type, plus the app version and platform (for example "Android"). It contains no identifiers and no contact details. Please don't include personal details in your message. Feedback is stored on our own server in the European Union, is used only to improve the app, is never shared or sold, and is deleted after at most two years. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the app (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR); because the message is anonymous we usually cannot link it to you afterwards.

Ratings

The app may ask whether you want to rate it. Rating opens the App Store or Google Play page; we do not receive any data from that.

Children

The app does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Third parties

The app contains no advertising, analytics, tracking or crash-reporting code from third parties. The only service code in the app is RevenueCat, for the Plus subscription as described above. Apple and Google process data under their own privacy policies when you download the app, make a purchase or use their widgets, location and compass services on your device; we receive nothing from that beyond the anonymous sales reports that every developer gets from the stores.

Deleting your data

Everything Vaktija Widgets keeps on your phone (your place, settings, widget settings and reminders) is deleted when you uninstall the app. Anonymous feedback cannot be linked to you, so it cannot be looked up; it is deleted automatically after at most two years. If you bought Plus and want the purchase record kept by RevenueCat for us deleted, email info@amaze-apps.com with the order number from your App Store or Google Play receipt; we delete it within 30 days. Apple and Google keep their own records of your purchase under their own policies. Deleting the record does not cancel or refund a running subscription; you do that in your store account.

Your rights

Apart from the purchase record of Plus, which is tied to a random identifier and not to you, we do not collect personal data, so there is usually nothing for us to look up, export or delete. You still have the rights the GDPR gives you, including the right to ask us questions about this policy and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the Netherlands: the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). Email us and we will answer.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be on this page with a new effective date.
